At the age of 12, Dr. Forrest would ride his bicycle from his home on Berry’s Chapel Road, to the McKay farm, a local dairy that became his first paying job. For the next 7 years he would work there tending to the milking duties of the dairy herd and learning about beef cattle and swine as well. It was these experiences on the McKay farm that sparked his interests in Animal husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. Following his graduation from Franklin High School in 1980, Dr. Reynolds enrolled at MTSU where he changed his major from Music to Pre-Veterinary Medicine after 2 weeks of college. It was in the summer of 1981 that he applied for a position at Williamson County Animal Hospital, his second real job! Dr. Reynolds recalls those days when Drs. Vaden and Headrick would take turns going out on farm calls while the other stayed in the clinic performing small animal duties. “Those days of traveling the Williamson County countryside were some of my fondest memories.“ To this day, Dr. Reynolds will pass just about any barn still standing and reminisce about the days he spent in those very barns. In those days it was likely that he would spend the day mopping the floors, dipping dogs, changing the water pump in the large animal truck or answering the telephone. Dr. Reynolds was accepted into the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. It was during his years there that he served as Delegate representing the University of Tennessee in the Student American Veterinary Medical Association. He also served as an officer in the Student Chapter of the AVMA on several levels including its presidency. During his first year in the College of Veterinary medicine, Dr. Reynolds received the “Merck" award. Dr. Reynolds and his wife Dr. Judith Reynolds met while attending The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and were married during their last year of Vet school. They raised their four children on a small farm here in Franklin. Dr. Reynolds and his wife now have the house to themselves; they are active in the youth group at their church and place a very strong emphasis on traditional family values. While attending AUCVM, Dr. Shaun was the Vice President of his class, a diplomat for the College of Veterinary Medicine, and President of his professional fraternity, Alpha Psi. A new graduate in 1994, Dr. Shaun joined the Williamson County Animal Hospital family shortly thereafter and hasn't looked back since. Along the way, Dr. Shaun wed his better half, Laura. They are proud parents to two young men who have flourished at Brentwood Academy. Dr. Shaun's eldest sons are now enjoying college. At home, when Dr. Shaun is not spending time with his family or loving on his dog Cage, he enjoys golfing, camping, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Here in the hospital, he is known for sharing a laugh with his staff and clients while compassionately caring for his patients, or as he refers to them, his little friends. He joined the staff of Williamson County Animal Hospital in 2002 and enjoys the variety of internal medicine and surgical cases that a busy small animal practice provides. His greatest professional pleasure, however, is making a difference in the lives of those people and patients he sees every day. Dr. Stockstill is a member of the AVMA and TVMA. He is also involved in the community as a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church serving as a Elder, Deacon and member of the Adult Choir. His hobbies include swimming, running, and biking. He has also written several children’s stories about a funny cat with a crooked smile named Mayfield. As of the writing of this biographical sketch, one story has been published. She is originally from North Carolina, and graduated North Carolina State University- College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Her undergraduate work was completed at Mount Holyoke College. Prior to her career at Williamson County Animal Hospital, she practiced in Evanston, Illinois for 8 years and Murfreesboro, Tennessee for 7 years. Dr. Barrett lives with her husband of 20- plus years and son in Murfreesboro, her husband’s home town. They share their home with dog Ronnie, and spend their free time in their garden. Having spent her youth riding horses, she always assumed she would be an equine veterinarian, but fell in love with small animal medicine during her junior year of vet school and has never looked back! She feels completely blessed to work on God’s creatures and get to know wonderful people in the process. She particularly enjoys working up medical cases as well as treating skin and eye problems. Along with his wife Connie, he strives to promote a strong Christian faith as well as an honorable work ethic to their two children Blake and Juliet. She greets every colleague, guest and patient with a smile and a calm confidence. Originally from Rockton, Illinois, Dr. Pearman received her DVM from The University of Illinois. She spent some time at a mixed animal practice gaining valuable experience and absorbing as much knowledge as possible. Thankfully for the WCAH family and clients, Dr. Pearman and her husband have chosen to raise their sweet daughter right here in middle Tennessee. In her spare time, Dr. Pearman adores watching her daughter grow and seeing life through her eyes. They spend a lot of time enjoying puzzles, games and crafts together. You can also find Dr. Pearman enjoying the outdoors, reading, cooking and gardening! Dr. Pearman has brought so much experience to the Williamson County Animal Hospital team, including a vast knowledge of exotic pet veterinary care. When she is in the hospital, she is more than happy to offer her knowledge and care to any non-venomous exotic animal in need. Perhaps her favorite part of being able to care for the many animals in the community, however, is also being able to form lasting relationships with the people. When asked about what she loves most about WCAH: “I enjoy the people I work with and the folks I get to meet in exam rooms. I deeply appreciate the relationships I have already made with clients and their pets. It really feels like family here, where everyone cares about one another. The compassion everyone has for animals is so heartwarming. She got her B.S. in Biology from Northern Kentucky University in 2016. Then she went on to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2020. After graduating Dr. Erman planted roots in Tennessee and did one year of mixed practice in Dickson County then joined the Williamson County Animal Hospital team in 2021. She grew up playing intermural volleyball and soccer, she even played soccer for Auburn’s club veterinarian soccer team. Outside of work she loves spending time in the outdoors walking and hiking with her two dogs at home; Cam (a Corgi), Andy (a Basset Hound) and her husband, Tyler.
